The nursery aims are to create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children that attend our nursery, and to motivate children to constantly make progress by moving on in their play and learning journey with us. Practitioners with many years experience and training provide good role models for their children. Children need to feel good about themselves, respect their bodies and we must provide opportunities and experiences for children without compromising their safety. They learn boundaries, rules and limits and understand why these rules apply, eventually learning right from wrong as part of learning to be safe.
We work in partnership with parents to encourage and provide an anti-biased curriculum, with resources and equipment that reflect diversity, keeping equal opportunities a high profile through monitoring, evaluating, valuing and praising what children can do and not what they cannot do. This results in high self esteem, emotional well-being and in the long term, ability to fulfil their potential. We show interest in everyone and their cultures and beliefs, ensuring our own attitudes do not affect good practice, ie. children should see us as co-operating and respecting everyone who comes into the setting
Visions The nursery's vision is to work towards an outstanding grade for our next OFSTED inspection
