East Sussex Fire and Rescue
Every year the children at My First Friends Nursery get a yearly visit from East Sussex Fire and Rescue. This where children get to learn what the amazing fire fighters do in Brighton and Hove. Children get to ask questions, try on the uniform and get to have a go with the hose. On the 19th March the nursery turned 50 years old and threw a party to celebrate. East Sussex Fire and Rescue came down to celebrate!
When the fire fighters came to the nursery the children gave them a thank you card and a box of treats!. The children took it in turns to sit in the fire engine and talk with a fire fighter. After they finished the children got to use the hose. Again they took it in turns to blast water from the hose at a tree and a bush.
When it was time for the fire fighters to leave the children ran onto the field with the teachers and parents to wave goodbye to East Sussex Fire and Rescue. We will have the fire fighters back in 2020
