Community Playground Redevelopment
In 2009 Brighton and Hove City Council re developed the Westdene Community playground. Since then the council hasn't maintained it fully. In the nursery playground there is a piece of apparatus for children under 5 to use. Some of the parts on that apparatus doesn't meet current Health and Safety legislation. There is also a wooden fencing that is about 3-4ft, the fence has split and is rotten. The safety tarmac is lifting and has pot holes. Two sets of swings hasn't been fixed and the bigger apparatus has moved from its foundations. So the council has asked us to raise some funds while they have ear marked the community playground for £15,000.
