When the Mayor of Brighton and Hove came to nursery
On Tuesday 30th April 2019 , the children were told at registration time that someone important was coming to nursery. The children had a guess and were told it was the Mayor coming! Some children remembered as they met the Mayor at the parlor in Brighton for Remembrance day .
When
When the Mayor arrived at the nursery , some of the children that were on the climbing frame shouted "Mayor, Mayor, Mayor" while she walked up the pathway with Ann and Ken Norman. Some of the children took it in turns to give the mayor some presents. One child gave the Mayor a hand print A3 cards, another child gave a drawing and a tumble tots envelope to the mayor and the last child gave her a poesy . One child who didn't give the Mayor a present, asked the Mayor if he can give her a cuddle. When the Mayor was due to go the child that gave her a hug said to Demita " I want to give her the squeeziest of hugs" |

During her time at My First Friends Nursery, the Mayor took a look round the nursery to see all the toys that the children have and all the display boards showing the children's artworks or adventures. When it was snack time for the children, the Mayor sat down with the children to have some sandwiches and cakes, while the children had fresh fruit, yogurts and sandwiches. We would like to thank Little Tums for providing the sandwiches for our 50th Birthday in March and also providing it for the Mayor on Tuesday 30th April. We would also like to thank Cakes the difference in Patcham for providing us with lovely cakes and pastries for our 50th Birthday and for the Mayor.

We would like to personally thank the Mayor for letting us meet you twice since November 2018, the children have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with you and telling you about the nursery and what their favourite show/toy is when at nursery. We hope you enjoy your presents that the children gave you. It is a shame that you can only be a ,Mayor for a year as you have been amazing and have done amazing things for Brighton and Hove .
