Rugby Tots
On Tuesday 4th June the children had a visit from Coach Callum from Rugby Tots. After the introduction the children did warm ups to wake up their muscles. Children used the rugby balls to stretch up high, then do a try by squatting with the rugby ball. After their warm ups the children then had to run to a cone and kick them to make them fall over. |

After the warm ups the children were given a rugby to practice scoring a try. The children had to wait for the whistle to be blown before they made a run for it to score a try at the rugby post. Children then ran back to their spot by either jumping, sitting down or diving. The children then took it in turns to kick the rugby ball through the rugby posts, once the children kicked the ball through the posts they had to run to collect it ball then it was their friends turn to do the same. |

Children then practiced throwing and catching the rugby ball. Coach Callum helped the children 1-1 to build up their hand to eye co ordination. After practicing throwing the ball the children then took part in the agility course. Children took it in turns to jump over the hurdles, walk along the snake , jump on the different coloured shapes, match the coloured balls to the hoops and then go through the tunnel. The children really enjoyed the agility course as they then repeated the process lots of times! Massive thank you to Coach Callum for coming to nursery we are looking forward to seeing you again |
