In May 2019 the children had a taster session from Coach Jessica from Mini Athletics. The children really enjoyed the session with Coach Jessica so they will be seeing her every term. Mini Athletics came to My First Friends Nursery to teach the children different ways of exercising. Children used hurdles , hoops, cones and plastic shot put balls. First of all Coach Jessica introduced herself to the children and her Go Go the gazelle. When the children were introduced to Go Go and Jessica they did some stretches to warm up their muscles. |

The first activity was collecting small coloured cones and running round a track to matching it to the bigger cones. Children enjoyed choosing four different coloured cones which was blue/red/yellow and green. When the children picked up the cone they had to run round and go through a hurdle to get to the big cone. Another activity the children did was feeding hippos with plastic shot put balls. Children enjoyed building up their hand to eye co-ordination when throwing the balls through two hoops.
