On Friday 30th November the children went to St Augustine's Church to say goodbye to the snails they saw the past couple of months when they were out in the community. The children enjoyed seeing all 107 snails that were around Brighton. Some of the children's favourite was Brighton Police Snail, two ice cream snails, a sand covered snail and a finger print snail. We discussed the colours of the snail and which ones were big and small.
Before we could enter the exhibition the children were running around the church ground to find four snails, they even got to sit in one!. The children enjoyed looking at the gold snail as they could see their reflection in the snail. Once we were allowed in to the exhibition the children didn't know what snail to go to first as there were lots and lots to choose from. When it was time to go the children went back round to say goodbye to their favourite snail. The Fab Ice Cream snail got given a hug by one of our children. As of 2020 we are hoping that we are able to decorate the next trail. I wonder what it could be ?
