Today the children have grown herbs and watercress. They enjoyed using a spade to dig the mud out and putting it in the pot. When a child touched the mud a child said "it's soft and black" When the children smelt the herbs one child said "it smells like a potato flower"
In the afternoon the children grew watercress over the next coming days they will water the pots and watch them grow.
While the butterfly group were doing group work the caterpillar group spotted a seagull, they threw food out to the seagull and watched the bird eat. Later the butterfly group came out to see the seagull. We discussed if the seagull was a baby or an adult one child said "one years old" another child said "look his friends" and pointed to the sky. Soon we had to say goodbye to seagull as he went back on his journey. See you soon!
